As the hosts of MSNBC's "The Cycle" discussed what they did over the Christmas holiday on Wednesday, co-host Touré surprised his colleagues when he revealed that he refuses to "lie" to his children and tell them that Santa Claus is real.

Instead, he explained, they go out and buy each other gifts and the topic of the Santa "myth" never comes up.

“With my 5-year-old and 3-year-old, we didn’t talk about Santa at all. I went shopping with them. I let Hendrix pick out a present that he wanted, I let him pick out a present for his sister," Touré said. "The idea that the presents did not come from us never came up. It just never occurred. We put out the presents before bedtime on Christmas Eve. So, there was no myth that some stranger is going to come in through the door while you're sleeping."

Co-host Krystal Ball called Touré's stance on Santa "lame."

"I’m sorry. We didn’t lie to our children," he quickly interjected. "I don’t think that that’s lame, but whatever. Judge not."

"They picked out their own presents? They didn't get a surprise?" Ball pressed. "What kind of Christmas is that? I'm glad you're not my dad."
