Donny Deutsch not a hit on CNN's 'The Point,' says Twitter

Though CNN is trying to give viewers more Donny Deutsch with its week long current events talk program The Point, it isn't panning out.

Deutsch, a professional brander and ubiquitous TV commentator, is one of five co-hosts on The Point, which debuted Monday as a replacement to CNN's 10 p.m. ET rerun of Anderson Cooper 360. The show was labeled as "special programming," meaning it may not outlast this week.

Deutsch himself hosted in his own business program on CNBC from 2004-20005. He has since been a regular on NBC's Today and MSNBC's Morning Joe, talking anything and everything. Other hosts on the The Point include Republican Strategist/CNN contributor Margaret Hoover and ESPN’s Rick Reilly and Jason Taylor. The fifth co-host has rotated each day.

Some of the reaction to Deutsch on Twitter, a medium almost always brimming with negative comment...
