New Pro-Gun Control PSA Depicts Office Shooter Using a Musket: 'Guns Have Changed, Shouldn't Our Gun Laws?
April 16, 2013
"...calls for an update to our antiquated gun laws."
A new PSA released by States United to Prevent Gun Violence criticizes "antiquated gun laws" by depicting a workplace shooting in which the gunman uses a musket to fire on innocent civilians. After getting off just one shot, the gunman is forced to reload the musket before he can fire again.
"Guns have changed," the text on the screen reads. "Shouldn't our gun laws?"
The group describes the video as a "message from States United To Prevent Gun Violence calls for an update to our antiquated gun laws."
Watch the video below:
The message of the video is clear: Hundreds of years have past since the Founding Fathers declared every American has the right to bear arms, therefore, the Second Amendment is outdated. What the PSA doesn't acknowledge is that criminals do not follow laws.
