Reprehensible': Beck's Fiery Response to Boston Bombings and President Obama

"Labeling things workplace shootings or work someplace incidents is not going to heal us."

Glenn Beck on Tuesday responded to the tragic events surrounding the bombings in Boston, laying out his thought on everything that has occurred in the last 24 hours and blasting President Obama for initially refusing to call it "terrorism."

“Our President yesterday wouldn't even come out and say that it was an act of terror,” Beck began.

“He had to have somebody make a statement after his statement. I found it reprehensible. I don’t care who did it,” he added. “I don’t care if it was the head of the Tea Party Patriots. If they did it, it was terror. Period. Because I have a feeling that if it was the Tea Party Patriots that did it, boy, he would with glee deem it terror.”

Following Monday’s deadly blasts, President Obama in a brief address to the nation vowed to hunt down those responsible for the attacks. Absent from his remarks, however, were specific mentions of “terrorism.” A White House official quickly clarified in a statement to POLITICO that the administration indeed views the attacks as “acts of terrorism.”

Still, Beck decried the tendency on the part of some to live a “life of denial … pretending that the terror doesn't exist.”

“Labeling things ‘workplace shootings’ or ‘workplace incidents’ is not going to heal us,” he added. "If we refuse to face the things that are real in our life, and face the consequences of the things that we ourselves (in some cases) are responsible for, it will only make things worse."

"I also know that we are not responsible for acts of terror. Acts of terror are created by madmen. Period," he added:

Beck continued, arguing that now -- more than ever -- Americans need to start trusting one another. Now is the time, he said, to reflect on those who are important to us and to remember the people who make life truly remarkable:

President Obama did eventually come out and call the bombings "terrorism" late Tuesday morning.
