Bill O'Reilly counts calories, orders salad at fried-food restaurant

In his Thursday column Fox News anchor Bill O'Reilly recounts his experience helping coach one of his 9-year-old son's recent baseball games (his team lost).

After the game, O'Reilly writes that he and the team went to Friendly's, a restaurant with a menu featuring things like "loaded waffle fries," "kickin' buffalo chicken tenders," and a "forbidden fudge brownie."

It's a place he might never visit again.

From the column:

[A] fried clam dinner will cost you nearly 2,000 calories. Add the free ice cream sundae that comes with the dinner and you're up around 4,000. It says that right on the menu. I ordered an "Asian Salad" and picked off a few clams from my son's plate.

Readers are undoubtedly left with the impression that O'Reilly is one of those people you can never feel quite comfortable eating in front of.
