Georgetown University Professor and MSNBC contributor Michael Eric Dyson vehemently defended embattled Attorney General Eric Holder, calling him "the Moses of our time" in an interview today with MSNBC host Martin Bashir.
Queried if Holder should resign, Dyson quipped to Bashir that he should indeed step down... “off of that plateau where he resides in high principle and whip some heads.”
“What he should understand is that he is the chief lawgiver of the United States of America, so to speak–he’s the Moses of our time, and at least for this administration."
Dyson also declared no sympathy for Fox News' James Rosen who was tracked by the Department of Justice, which also searched his personal emails. “You can be a co-conspirator without being a target of investigation,” Dyson said.
Dyson added that Holder is “the whipping boy” for a right-wing that can't get over losing the 2012 presidential election.
