Following Sen. Rand Paul's (R-Ky.) interview with Glenn Beck on Wednesday, in which he invoked bestiality while discussing the Supreme Court's same-sex marriage rulings, Fox News anchor Geraldo Rivera jumped into the fray.
"Sen. Rand Paul is engaging and clever," Rivera tweeted, "but his concern [Supreme Court] gay marriage ruling will lead to bestiality reveals a grossly perverse worldview."
In the interview with Beck, Paul said of the rulings, “It is difficult, because if we have no laws on this, people will take it to one extension further – does it have to be humans?” His office has since said Paul was using "sarcasm."
The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and maintained Californians' right to same-sex marriage.
