"...They wouldn't do it. They were not interested in bringing this subject up."
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is accusing Fox News producers of trying to prevent him from talking about the damage immigration reform would cause to the Republican Party during his appearance on "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday.
"I told the people at Fox, I wanted to talk about this today three or four times," Limbaugh said. "And they wouldn’t do it. They were not interested in bringing this subject up."
Most of the conversation during Limbaugh's rare television appearance, via phone, was about the chaos in Egypt, Obamacare and the GOP's chances in the 2014 election.
“They asked me, ‘What do you want to talk about?' I didn’t tell them I wanted to talk about Egypt. I didn’t want to talk about Egypt," Limbaugh added. "The first thing out of my mouth: I want to talk about immigration and the state of the Republican Party. Wouldn’t go there. I had to bring it up myself."
"And that, by the way, is quite telling," he noted.
