The Video of a Sleeping Airline Passenger Incident You've All Feared Could Happen to You

It's 6am. You're on an early-morning flight and you're settling in for a three-hour journey. As everyone boards the plane, you're praying that the one person who decided to sleep in and miss their flight is the person that's supposed to sit next to you. But alas, no luck. Your cabin companion finally takes her seat, and the prayers start again: "Dear God, please don't let this person fall asleep, and drool, on me during the flight."

We've all been there. Steve Cullum was recently. And for him, his prayers weren't answered.

On a recent East Coast flight, Cullum was plagued by a sleepy seatmate who couldn't stay awake during the flight and even used him as a pillow.

"Here I was... Minding my own business on a flight home, when I ended up in an extremely awkward situation," he writes on a YouTube video he took documenting the awkward situation. The video was posted on July 11 and is starting to burn up the Internet.

"This lady was totally out of it. As soon as she sat down, she started falling asleep, and it only got worse as the flight continued," he explains.

In fact, he says he tried "lifting her up, shaking her, and startling her," but nothing worked.

Out of options, he decided to make light of it.

"I thought it would be fun to get some of it on video to share with family and friends. Then she finally moved... Only to find someone else for the last part of the flight. Ha!"

And why didn't he notify a flight attendant? He says that the flight was plagued by turbulence and the flight attendants said to only ring the call button in an emergency.

Having a hard time buying it? Callum assures none of it was "staged" and the three people in the video are complete strangers.
