Final notes from the Media Research Center 'DisHonors Awards

We ran a few of the highlights from Thursday night's annual Media Research Center "DisHonors Awards (see here, here and here).

Now for the actual tongue-in-cheek "award" recipients.

The "Barbara Streisand Celebrity Dumbass Award" went to HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher for a commentary he delivered over the summer, in which he called former President Ronald Reagan "the original pitchman for batsh**."

The "Dan Rather Memorial Award for the Stupidest Analysis" went to MSNBC's Melissa Harris-Perry for an ad she starred in back in april which advocated for a more "collective" responsibility for children.

The "Puppy Love Award" went to MSNBC's Chris Matthews for comments he made on his show in June wherein he said President Obama has "never done anything wrong in his life."

The "Damn Those Conservatives to Hell Award" went to Bloomberg View columnist Jonathan Alter, for having said on MSNBC in August last year that "people will die" if Mitt Romney won the presidential election.
