Police dogs were searching the area for a gun
An argument over $4 between a pair of neighbors ended with one of the men shooting the other in the chest.
Houston police say that during the argument, the suspect, a 50-year-old man, left for his second-floor apartment, got a gun, and came back downstairs and shot his neighbor in the chest, KTRK-TV reports.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Police dogs were searching the area for a gun, KTRK reports, and officers were awaiting a search warrant to go into the home.
