What a Local Weatherman Ate Off the Studio Floor on Live TV Will Have You Making a Face Like His
October 10, 2013
"I don't think those were Grape Nuts."
A Connecticut weatherman thought he had dropped a bit of cereal on the floor. Showing his grit, he picked it up and ate it on live TV.
It was no Grape Nut, as the reaction from WFSB-TV's Scot Haney made plain.
"It is soggy. It tastes like shoes," Haney announced. "I don't think those were Grape Nuts."

He later connected the dots. Realizing there were more Grape Nut-like pieces trailing around the studio, he looked under his shoe and found the source.
It turns out he stepped in -- and then subsequently ate -- cat vomit.

Later in the show, after finding the evidence, Haney admitted his mistake.
"My cat threw up and I stepped in it and that's what I ate," he said. "I ate cat vomit, right here on television."
