Children's Hospital Patients Perform Incredibly Inspirational Cover of Katy Perry's 'Roar' That's Sure to Go Viral

"I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire, cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar."

Parents, doctors, nurses and sick kids came together at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in New Hampshire to offer up an incredibly-inspirational lip-sync performance of Katy Perry's popular hit "Roar."

The moving music video, which was released on Monday, shows the children, families and hospital employees expressively dancing and mouthing the words to the pop song.

Collectively, they show great courage in the face of monumental struggles.

But this joy is juxtaposed and tempered with images of the kids hooked up to lifesaving machines and being treated by hospital staff -- very real elements that offer a small lens into the children's plights.

Despite the challenges they face, the kids boldly sing along with Perry, uttering inspirational lines about perseverance like, "I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire, cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar."

Certainly these kids are fighters -- and they're brave for sharing their struggles with the world.

Watch the moving clip, below:

The video was produced to coincide with the hospital's CHaD HERO Half Marathon & Ripcord 5K, an annual charity event that brings in money for Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

"The participants of CHaD HERO Half Marathon & Ripcord 5K came together and roared to the tune of over $650,000...and fundraising continues," reads a message posted Monday on Facebook. "Thanks to you, all of these kids and thousands more just like them can also keep roaring!"

The video's production services were donated by Red J Media Productions LLC, according to the Facebook page.

The performance is similar to one the Seattle Children's Hospital did in 2012 to the tune of Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger."
