A dip into the pool reports: dream

From a pool report filed Christmas Eve by the Wall Street Journal's Colleen Nelson, who was covering President Obama's vacation in Hawaii:

[A] group from Toronto ... had just seen the president at the gym. They reported that Obama was working out with free weights and shooting a few baskets. The president had stopped to sign an autograph for the 10-year-old girl in the group. At McDonald's, she showed off her journal, where Obama had written "To Kyrstin --Dream big dreams!" and signed his name. Kyrstin Lavelle said Obama was "really nice."

Kyrstin said she gave Obama flowers. The president joked that he would give them to Michelle and say that he picked them, Kyrstin said.
