Fox is known as much for his famous roles as for his commitment to the fight against Parkinson's. While he was diagnosed in 1991, the actor renowned for his portrayal of Alex P. Keaton on the "Family Ties" TV series and the "Back to the Future" movie franchise, he didn't disclose to the public that he was battling the disease until 1998.
