Everyone has specific verbal habits and ticks when they speak.
Some people drop the work “like” in every sentence. Others say “you know” while others say “for sure.”
President Barack Obama, it seems, has a specific verbal tick when it comes to referring to the American people. He uses the word “folks.” A lot.
