Following a federal court ruling striking down Texas’ ban on same-sex marriage, Texas State Sen. Dan Patrick, a Republican, took to Twitter on Wednesday to bash the decision.
He also committed a typo that websites are calling “epic” and asking if it’s the “greatest Twitter typo” ever.
“Marriage is between one man and one woman. Period,” Patrick tweeted.
He then promised to fight “activist judges and defend our traditional Texas values.”
Then came the typo:
The tweet was, of course, deleted and a new one was posted the way it was intended. In another tweet, Patrick's account revealed there is a new opening for a new social media intern -- which could be a joke.
MARRIAGE= ONE MAN & ONE WOMAN. Enough of these activist judges. FAVORITE if you agree. I know the silent majority out there is with us!
