Here's the Little Boy Fighting Cancer Who Brought Jimmy Kimmel to Tears

Jimmy Kimmel got a little choked up last night -- and it was not a hoax, something he's been known to orchestrate lately.

The late night show host wearing a suit made entirely of Rainbow Loom hosted special guest "Super Max," a big fan of the popular rubber band weaving kit.

Max Wilford, a 7-year-old battling brain cancer, is trying to build the longest "loom chain" in his "Loom-a-Thon Against Cancer."

Tustin's Arroyo Elementary School reached out to Kimmel in a touching video about the large-scale loom project and why he had to meet Max.

"He has truly gone loom crazy, inspired our entire school. If you could find a way to acknowledge him and encourage him in his brave battle," Principal Maggie Villegas said in the video.

How could Kimmel say no?

Kimmel invited Max to appear on Wednesday's show to talk about the loom chain that will stretch for "about 100 miles," according to Max. But he had a few other surprises up his rubber-suited sleeve as well.

Max met his favorite super hero Iron Man, received tickets to Disneyland and was presented with a Rainbow Loom cape with the words "Super Max" on it.

Wrapping up the segment, Kimmel struggled to hold it together, clearly starting to tear up.

Kimmel's "Suit of the loom" is being sold on eBay to benefit MaxLove Project, a nonprofit set up by Max's parents. As of the time of this posting, the bidding was up to more than $8,000 with the auction continuing until March 8.

Max's parents told the Orange County Register that in the last few years their son has had four surgeries, chemotherapy and other treatments. After the Loom-A-Thon on Saturday, Max will have his fifth surgery followed by several weeks of radiation.
