Video Shows the Moment a Man Is Left Dangling In Midair After His Flying Machine Breaks Down

" ... that wasn't part of the plan."

There was a slide on a baseball field last month, but it was a different kind of "home run."

It wasn't from a player running around the diamond, but a person who dropped down from the sky in an emergency landing.

Posted by Fly High Paramotors, a company that sells gliders and motorized gliders, the video from February shows a man out on his fifth solo flight when one of his engine belts broke.

Around 40 seconds, you can hear the engine struggling before it completely cuts off a little after the minute mark.

"Oh s***, I threw a belt," the man said.

Looking for a place to land, the parachute glider spotted the baseball field. Even though there was a game in progress, it was a more attractive alternative than the heavily wooded or residential areas below him. The wind was pushing him around significantly, making it seem as if he would end up in the homes. But with some fortunate hand control of the parachute, he was able to maneuver himself to the field just in time.

As he approached for a landing, players on the field could be heard screaming and seen running out of the way. Though terrifying, the man's slide appeared pretty graceful.

Watch the footage (Content warning: strong language):

"Sorry," he said, removing his helmet. "So that wasn't part of the plan."

"That was the best slide of the day, by the way," someone who approached the man to check on him said.
