Imagine walking onto a plane and being serenaded by the cast of a Broadway musical. And not just any Broadway musical -- how about the cast of the wildly successful "The Lion King."
Well, that's exactly what happened in Australia this week after the cast of the Australian production of the show surprised passengers aboard a Virgin Atlantic plane from Brisbane to Sydney. And the result was awesome.
See, the cast was returning to Sydney after a much-anticipated announcement that the show would be coming to a stage in Brisbane. As they sat on the plane, something magical happened.
"[M]embers of our Australian cast felt so elated they decided to sing the 'Circle of Life' prior to take off on their flight back to Sydney!," a YouTube video description showing what happened next says.
Passengers boarding the plane appeared pleasantly stunned:
After the impromptu performance, not surprisingly the rest of plane erupted in cheers.
