Daredevil's Jump Into a Pool From a Five-Story Building Called the 'Craziest Roof Jump We've Ever Seen
July 29, 2014
"Whatever happens here, this is not a suicide attempt."
We've seen some crazy pool jump stunts go horribly wrong, but this one is so extreme the daredevil actually said before making the leap that he was not trying to commit suicide.
"Alright, whatever happens here, this is not a suicide attempt, it's just for fun," the young man wearing florescent yellow shorts and tennis shoes said before running and jumping off the building into the pool about 70 feet below.
Fortunately, it ended well for him.
Watch the footage:
It is unclear when exactly the original video was posted, but it has recently been making its rounds on the Web.
"By far, the craziest roof jump we've ever seen to date! (Not to worry- he's okay and in good health!)," one of the videos posted to YouTube of the stunt read.
In the comments, some criticized the man's reckless actions.
"This is not freedom, freedom ends where other people's freedom starts, causing trouble to apartments/hotels etc, upload it to the internet so other people can [watch] it, especially kids, etc, and in case of accident, it costs money, it makes ambulances, hospital rooms, doctors.. unavailable for others," one commenter wrote.
Another commenter said they believed the video should be "deleted and the police should act." At least one version of the video of the incident uploaded to the Internet has been deleted.
