The 'Weapons of Choice' for Two Brawling Women Were So Strange, Even State Police Said It Was a First

When her son had to pick up some things from an ex-girlfriend in Cromwell Township, Pennsylvania, Glenda Snyder, 64, made the trip with him.

Because Synder's son has some difficulty walking, police said, his mother helped him cart out his possessions.

Two of those items were deer mounts — one "shoulder" mount of antlers, head and neck, and a "skull" mount of skull and antlers.

Trips like these can be tense affairs, and things apparently began deteriorating after Snyder told her son's 47-year-old ex, Stacy Varner, to be careful with the shoulder mount she was holding.

"Words were exchanged," Pennsylvania State Police Sgt. Harold Rinker told TheBlaze Friday.

Snyder tried to take the shoulder mount from Varner, then "they both were swinging," Rinker said.

As in the deer mounts.

Snyder had the skull mount in hand and Varner the shoulder mount — their "weapons of choice," Rinker said — and they took swipes at each other as the domestic dispute boiled over.

Rinker said Snyder came away with a minor scalp laceration courtesy of an antler; there were no reported injuries for Varner.

Snyder faces charges of harassment and criminal trespassing, Rinker said of the July 26 incident. Varner faces a simple assault charge.

In regard to the history of deer mount dust-ups, Rinker told TheBlaze, "I've been at it for 22 years, and this is the first time I've heard of it."

The conditions of the deer mounts were not immediately available.
