Second Building in Threatening Pro-Islamic State White House Tweet Identified by TV Station As...

A tweet issued earlier this month, which included an image of the black Islamic State flag in front of the White House, received a lot of attention including a response from the Secret Service, which said it was aware of the ominous message.

What received less attention, however, was a second image which appeared along side the White House photo in the same tweet. That image featured a card scrawled with Arabic held in front of a less recognizable building.

A local Chicago TV station, WGN, now says it has identified that structure as the Old Republic Building and alerted the building's security team as well as the FBI of the implied threat.

Although it is impossible to verify the identify of  @Sunna_rev, the user who posted the tweet, the black Islamic State flag serves as the user's profile picture, and the background photo appears to be an image of Islamic fighters. Most of the 21,000 tweets are in Arabic and several are hostile.

According to WGN, security for the Old Republic Building, the Secret Service, the FBI, and Chicago Police all declined to comment on the tweet.
