Homeless Man Walking Toward Bandits' Blast Zone Is Pulled to Safety at the Last Second — the Surprise Is Who Rescues Him
September 19, 2014
Seconds later the store's outside wall explodes and showers the sidewalk with debris.
Surveillance cameras captured thieves robbing a gas station convenience store in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Their grand finale was prepping the store's ATM machine for detonation.
But things get interesting when a pedestrian — identified by Brazilian news outlet diario as "morador de rua" (translated from Portuguese as "homeless") — is seen ambling toward the side of the store...and the very spot where the explosion is about to hit.
One of the bandits — his face obscured by what appears to be headgear or a bandana — is seen running toward the man and actually pulling him away from the blast zone.
Seconds later, the store's outside wall explodes and showers the sidewalk with debris.
Our "hero" doesn't wait around to chat with the pedestrian; as soon as the explosion subsides, he lets go and takes off.
There was no report concerning the robbers' whereabouts or how much money they stole.
It's unclear when the incident took place, but diario posted the clip on Thursday.
