After This News Hit, Liberal Host Says 'The Flags Were Flying at Half-Mast Today at MSNBC

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's gain is MSNBC's loss, HBO host Bill Maher joked on Friday night.

"The flags were flying at half-mast today at MSNBC because the Justice Department put out their report... [and] found no evidence that Chris Christie ordered the Bridgegate scandal or even knew about it beforehand," Maher said. "That's right, no one can prove that Chris Christie ordered the hit, and that is New Jersey for innocent."

Of course, unless he was talking about an MSNBC boat somewhere, Maher should have said "half-staff."

As TheBlaze noted Friday, the investigation into the George Washington Bridge scandal remains ongoing.
