Beck nails Harrison's 'Wah-Wah' to accolades from thinking, sensible music lovers
September 25, 2014
It's George Harrison Week on TBS' "Conan," which, it goes without saying, is awesome.
On Sept. 22 (I know, I'm a couple days late), Beck—no, not that Beck, this one—performed Harrison's "Wah-Wah" from the "All Things Must Pass" album.
If if you're a George Harrison purist and insufferable Harrison/Beatles fundamentalist, you'll likely stop this video in the first minute. And you'll complain that a whipper-snapper like me doesn't understand music and the greatness of the old masters. Right, Mike?
But if you're a sensible person with an appreciation for brilliant music and writing covered in different ways by different bands/peeps who give it their own unique—and talented—feel, you'll likely love this … or at least tolerate it to the end. You might even thank me for it—though I won't hold my breath.
