Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) recently shared a laugh with his wife Marilyn over all the horrible things people say about him on Twitter.
King was the latest to participate in a reading of all the "mean tweets" directed at him, and started by reading one that said "I hate and despise you and the world hates you too."
"That wasn't a fan," he said, wincing, in a video that was posted Sunday.
"You're garbage, Cheers," said another tweet. "Well, OK."
King had fun with another tweet that said, "Your the problem we have to fix."
"Y-O-U-R. 'Your' the problem," he said. "You're illiterate. 'Your' rhymes with Common Core, which is where your education must have come from."
His wife seemed a little more surprised by some of the things people say about her husband, but had a good laugh anyway.
"Just in case you forgot, Steve King is horrible," Mrs. King read. "People just sit down and write these things?"
After reading another saying King is a "sad excuse for a human being," she laughed and said, "I've been saying that for years." She then took it back, "no, honey."
They both laughed at one that said, "I bet Steve King smells like mothballs and dusty bibles."
