When You See the Monster Buck Ted Nugent Shot on Wednesday, You'll Instantly Understand Why He's So Thankful

"OH LORDY LORDY GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH!"

Who needs a big Thanksgiving turkey when you can have a heaping portion of venison instead?

Classic rock icon Ted Nugent posted an impressive kill on his Facebook page on Wednesday, posing with a sizable buck he said he downed with a bow and arrow.

"OH LORDY LORDY GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH!" Nugent wrote in a post accompanying the picture. "Happy ThanXgiving every d**n day in the mystical deergrounds of America ya all! The beast is dead long live the mighty beast!"

Nugent's buck may be impressive, but it's not the first time he made the news this week for something he posted on Facebook.

On Tuesday, Nugent posted his thoughts on the situation in Ferguson.

"Here's the lessons from Ferguson America," Nugent wrote. "Don't let your kids growup to be thugs who think they can steal, assault & attack cops as a way of life & badge of black (dis)honor. Don't preach your racist bulls**t 'no justice no peace' as blabbered by Obama's racist Czar Al Not So Sharpton & their black klansmen."

Nugent also tackled issues of race and abortion.

"Don't claim that 'black lives matter' when you ignore the millions you abort & slaughter each & every day by other blacks," Nugent wrote. "Those of us with a soul do indeed believe black lives matter, as all lives matter."

Nugent's words drew criticism from some media outlets, with Billboard.com calling his writing "offensive" and "illogical" and Inquisitr saying he had "disse[d] the entire black community."

On the flip side, the post had received nearly 55,000 likes on Facebook by Thursday afternoon, with commenters leaving such notes as, "Amen Ted! We need you in the White House," and, "You are one of the few famous people who tell it like it is."
