Shortly after Dish Network made TheBlaze TV free to all subscribers, the satellite network has announced that it will put TheBlaze TV's high-definition feed on channel 205, the channel previously occupied by Fox News.
TheBlaze TV's standard definition feed will remain on channel 212.
Fox and Dish are currently in a dispute that caused both Fox News and Fox Business to go dark on Dish Saturday night.
“It’s like we’re about to close on a house and the realtor is trying to make us buy a new car as well,” Dish’s Senior Vice President of Programming Warren Schlichting said about the situation. “Fox blacked out two of its news channels, using them as leverage to triple rates on sports and entertainment channels that are not in this contract.”
Tim Carry, a Fox News executive in charge of distribution, responded: “They did not want to accept terms and commitments that have become customary in a Fox News renewal.”
TheBlaze TV will remain on its new channel until January 7th, or when Fox News is restored.
