Did Sarah Palin Just Say She Hopes Brian Williams Keeps His Job?

"It’s precisely the way a corrupt organization works."

Former Alaska Governor and Republican nominee for vice president Sarah Palin wrote a lengthy Facebook post late Friday in which she said she hopes the embattled NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams keeps his job.

"Personally, I hope Williams keeps his job as the face of network news to remind America how this all works, and to justify our complete turning away from his ilk in mainstream media," Palin wrote.

The Tea Party favorite urged her readers to consider the "herd mentality" under which she claimed journalists operate.

"It’s precisely the way a corrupt organization works, like a crime syndicate," she said.

Palin then warned her fans of being "lulled" into thinking that what she says is a problem only exists at NBC: "It's all the major networks," she said, citing CNN's simultaneous "outrageous media bias."

"But while they're still on our airwaves, they need to clean up their act as the rest of us turn to new media that will be held accountable. A free press is a cornerstone of our democracy," Palin said.

"They have the tools to be our watchdogs, not liars and lapdogs for the powers that be," she added.
