After the White House said U.S. commandos killed senior Islamic State leader Abu Sayyaf in Syria, an apparent supporter of the terrorist organization reportedly vowed revenge — namely "killing Obama," along with the "worshipers of the cross."
Vocativ translated the tweet as, "If your goal is killing Abu Sayyaf then our goal is killing Obama and the worshipers of the cross. We have attacks coming against you."
Abu Sayyaf helped oversee the Islamic State’s moneymaking oil and gas operations. In Friday night's raid, authorized by President Obama, Abu Sayyaf's wife was captured and a young Yazidi woman — apparently a slave — was rescued, the White House said.
