CNN Reporter Who Attended Hillary Clinton Aide's Wedding Two Weeks Ago Is Getting Her First National Interview
July 06, 2015
The cereomony was reportedly off the record.
The CNN reporter who scored Hillary Clinton's first national interview since launching her presidential campaign also attended the wedding of a Clinton aide two weeks ago.
Reported by the Weekly Standard at the end of June, CNN senior political correspondent Brianna Keilar and six other prominent political reporters attended the wedding of Adam Parkhomenko, director of grassroots engagement for Clinton's campaign and co-founder of Ready for Hillary, and former Ready for Hillary staff member Kirby Hoag. The ceremony was said to be off the record.

The news of Clinton's first national interview comes just two days after her campaign staff literally corralled reporters with a rope to keep them at bay during an Independence Day event.
After some media outlets began to draw a link between Keilar's appearance at the wedding and the upcoming interview, Seth Bringman, former communications director for Ready for Hillary, took to Twitter to defend the reporter, trading tweets with Mediaite's Andrew Kirell.
Right-wingers still up in arms that reporters got invited to Dem-ish event and attended. Newsflash: Reporters have been to GOP weddings too!

Hey @AndrewKirell, did you know the CNN anchor you just went after attended wedding w/ her boyfriend, Paul Ryan's former comms guy? GASP!
— Seth Bringman (@sethbringman) July 6, 2015
.@sethbringman And if/when she interviews Paul Ryan, she should absolutely disclose that relationship. You understand the problem, right?
— Andrew Kirell (@AndrewKirell) July 6, 2015
.@sethbringman Also, “went after”? You act like this is some partisan battle. No, this is about disclosing connex in a cautious business.
— Andrew Kirell (@AndrewKirell) July 6, 2015
@AndrewKirell I understand that her professional integrity should not be questioned by biased people, yes.
— Seth Bringman (@sethbringman) July 6, 2015
.@sethbringman lol, “by biased people.” You clearly don’t understand the point. Have a good one.
— Andrew Kirell (@AndrewKirell) July 6, 2015
@AndrewKirell you too. be careful to not attend any weddings!
— Seth Bringman (@sethbringman) July 6, 2015
@sethbringman Seriously: You understand why it’s important to disclose such relationships, regardless of party, right?
— Andrew Kirell (@AndrewKirell) July 6, 2015
@AndrewKirell it's a wedding, not a relationship. zzzzzzzzzzzz...
— Seth Bringman (@sethbringman) July 6, 2015
@sethbringman Oh, so people are invited to weddings for the hell of it? Not because they are at all friendly with the bride or groom?
— Andrew Kirell (@AndrewKirell) July 6, 2015
@RobProvince @AndrewKirell nope, i'm saying she attended a wedding and i'm having a fun conversation
