Seventeen months after comic Tracy Morgan suffered a traumatic brain injury in the car crash that also killed his friend James McNair, Morgan will return to "Saturday Night Live," the show that launched his career.
The long-running sketch show announced its first three guest hosts for the upcoming season in a tweet Monday afternoon. Fans and friends of Morgan celebrated the news, eclipsing Miley Cyrus and Amy Schumer, the season's first two hosts.
The Internet's reaction to the news of the beloved comic's return was as expected.
During an emotional interview on NBC's "Today" back in June, Morgan told Matt Lauer, "I love comedy and can't wait to get back to her."
