Presidential candidate Donald Trump took aim Friday night at longtime Clinton aide Huma Abedin, joking about her marriage to Anthony Weiner and suggesting that she passed along classified information to him.
As Trump spoke at a campaign stop in Boston, he brought up the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server, noting that Abedin may have viewed classified intel.
“And who is Huma married to?” Trump asked. “One of the great sleazebags of our time, Anthony Weiner.”
“So Huma is getting classified secrets,” the Republican frontrunner added. “She’s married to Anthony Wiener, who is a perv. No, he is!”
“Do you think there’s even a five percent chance that she’s not telling Anthony Weiner, now of a public relations firm, what the hell is coming across? Do you even think there is even a little bit of a chance? I don't think so," he added, calling it a "very sad situation."
Those jabs at Abedin didn't sit well with the Clinton campaign. Spokesman Nick Merrill released a scathing statement, saying Trump should be embarrassed for what he said.
