Police Disturbed to Find This in at Least Four Places Around Houston Days After Deputy’s Execution-Style Murder: ‘I Can’t Believe That’

"So heartless and so ruthless."

Less than a week after a Texas sheriff's deputy was fatally shot outside a Houston-area gas station, police have been responding to disturbing graffiti popping up around the city.

The graffiti shows emojis of police officers with images of guns pointed at them. They have appeared in at least four different places around town.

"I can't believe that there are people out there so heartless and so ruthless to put something on there before this deputy is even buried. It does nothing to help to help morale in the police department and does nothing to help the Goforth family, Houston Police Department union president Ray Hunt told KTRK-TV.

Others in the community also responded in disgust.

"It's totally wrong," Larry Dinkoff told KHOU-TV. "[Police] do a job most people can't do. I can't do it."

"[The artist] is just showing their ignorance," Kathy, who didn't want to give her last name, added. "It's a very sick-headed, uneducated person to do something of that nature."

Houston Police Officer Lloyd Anderson told KHOU that whoever put it up "is just immature, just doesn't understand or [they're] just flat out ignorant."
