Former NFL defensive end Dexter Manley quickly issued an apology over the weekend after he said that black players are likely more mobile as quarterbacks because they are “used to running from the law.”
The WUSA-TV anchors on-air for the segment were clearly uncomfortable and stunned by the remark. Watch the moment below:

Manley’s apology came shortly after.
“I made a comment about this black quarterback stuff. I do apologize and, you know, I say some things I don't think about sometimes,” he admitted.
