Hillary Clinton criticized Bernie Sanders at Thursday night's Democratic debate for being negative about President Barack Obama's record — but he got the last word.
The former secretary of state went after the Vermont senator for his previous critical comments about Obama's record, and for writing an introduction for the book "Buyer's Remorse: How Obama let Progressives Down" by Bill Press.
But Sanders hit back with a line that had Twitter buzzing.
@SenSanders "One of us ran against Barack Obama, I was not that candidate" BOOM! https://t.co/FHVSAbhWhB— Michael Irwin (@Michael Irwin) 1455249320.0
