Ann Coulter is fed-up with the new, toned-down Donald Trump.
The fiery conservative personality, who has been one of Trump's most passionate supporters, posted a pair of tweets Friday saying she "hates" the new tone Trump has taken since political operative Paul Manafort joined the campaign.
I wish Trump would go back to retweeting juvenile photos of Heidi Cruz. I hate the new Manafort & Black Trump.— Ann Coulter (@Ann Coulter)1461355360.0
We wanted Trump to stress his presidential side, not become a division of Manafort & Black.— Ann Coulter (@Ann Coulter)1461355399.0
Coulter's suggestion Trump "go back to retweeting juvenile photos of Heidi Cruz" raised some eyebrows. She had previously said the brash billionaire's choice to engage in such behavior was among the worst things he had done on the campaign trail.
Coulter's tweets came on the heels of Trump refraining from calling 2016 rival Ted Cruz by the "lyin' Ted" nickname during his New York primary victory speech, something observers suggested was a change in direction ordered by Manafort.
Nevertheless, the more polite Trump seems to come and go. One day after his victory speech, Trump was back to characterizing Cruz as "lyin' Ted" and alleging he is not an honest man.
