The United States is home to millions of interesting and inspiring people who work to have a positive impact in their communities — often times far from the glare of the media spotlight.
They are the subject of The Heart of America, a new short video series from TheBlaze Documentary Films.
An economic tragedy hit Wilmington, Ohio, in 2008 when the town’s primary employer suddenly shut down. Thousands of area residents were left jobless. Yet, in the midst of personal and financial ruin, many residents turned to a small downtown storefront for hope.

Today, Wilmington is gradually recovering economically, but a new challenge threatens the community. And once again the House of Prayer is ground zero for people seeking to repair their lives.
