Former Mexican President Vicente Fox Apologizes to Trump — Now, See How Trump Responds When Asked If He Has a 'Message' for Him

"I apologize. Forgiveness is one of the greatest qualities that human beings have."

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox is taking a dramatically different tone now that Donald Trump has solidified his place as the presumptive Republican nominee.

Fox formally apologized to Trump in an interview with Breitbart News on Wednesday for defiantly telling him he wasn’t “going to pay for that f***ing wall” and making things personal.

“I apologize. Forgiveness is one of the greatest qualities that human beings have, is the quality of a compassionate leader,” he said. “You have to be humble. You have to be compassionate. You have to love thy neighbor.  Love your nation. Love the world. Yes, I’m humble enough as leadership be, [a] compassionate leader. If I offended you, I’m sorry. But what about the other way around? I don’t think he should follow the strategy of attacking others, offending others, to get to his purpose.”

The former Mexican president later appeared on “The O’Reilly Factor” and expressed a willingness to openly discuss the border problem between the U.S. and Mexico.

"I think it’s very important to invite Donald Trump to come to Mexico and to learn about the real Mexico," Fox said.

Trump, on the other hand, did not adjust his attitude on the matter.

When asked if he had any "message" for Fox moments before he appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s show, Trump relied, “Get your money ready ‘cause you’re going to pay for the wall.”
