Trump: Everything I Say Is a 'Suggestion'

"I'm not the president."

Everything presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump says before becoming president is a only a "suggestion," the Manhattan mogul said on television Friday.

During an interview on Fox News' "Fox and Friends," Trump was questioned about recent comments he made that suggested his proposed moratorium on Muslim immigrants was "just a suggestion."

"It was a suggestion," Trump told the Fox morning show. "Look, anything I say right now, I'm not the president. Everything is a suggestion, no matter what you say. It's a suggestion."

"I feel strongly we have to do something about, when you look at radical Islamic terrorism, we have a president that — you folks know very well — we have a president who won't even use the term," the real estate tycoon continued.

Trump previously suggested that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani could head a commission to examine "radical Islamic terrorism" under his administration.
