Glenn Beck: The Most Terrifying Thing About Trump’s Speech Didn’t Come From Trump

"The bottom is rising up because the government has caused so much chaos."

While many criticized Donald Trump's speech Thursday night at the Republican National Convention as largely doom and gloom, it was what the audience shouted back at the presidential nominee that has Glenn Beck worried.

During his radio broadcast Friday morning, Beck said "something extraordinarily terrifying happened last night," referring to the fact that, as Trump delivered his remarks, thunderous shouts of "Yes, you will!" broke out in the packed Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on the final night of the convention just moments before the balloons dropped and the celebration began.

As the delegation chanted praise toward the billionaire businessman, Trump could be seen mouthing, "Thank you, thank you," back to the energetic crowd of supporters.

"The bottom is rising up because the government has caused so much chaos, that there is fear in the streets. And so, the bottom rose up in a populist, nationalist way and they cried out, 'Somebody help us!'" Beck said of Trump's meteoric ascent to the Republican nomination for president, which he formally accepted Thursday night. "And somebody at the top said, 'Oh, I will help you. You may not get what you want, but you’ll get what you need.'"

Beck highlighted the fact that Trump said Thursday he represents the "law and order" candidate in the general election race against presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who is expected to accept her party's nomination next week.

"I said, 'The winning campaign will be led by a leader who convinces you to chant back, ‘Yes, we will,'” Beck told his radio listeners, referencing the famous slogan associated with President Barack Obama's successful campaign. "But how foolish was I because I had half the puzzle piece."

He continued, "Little did I know the power of one individual that could convince those people who are in fear not to chant back, 'Yes, we will,' but 'Yes, you will. Yes, you will. Yes, you will.'"
