The vandalism happened around 8:45 am EST.

Former reality TV star Donald Trump's Hollywood Walk of Fame star has been vandalized at multiple times throughout his presidential candidacy. But one man just decided to take the vandalism to a whole new level.

A man posing as a construction worker pulverized Trump's star with a pickaxe and sledgehammer around 5:45 a.m PT Wednesday. According to BuzzFeed News, Los Angeles police have not yet made an arrest but said an investigation is ongoing.

The news was first reported by Deadline Hollywood, which even captured video of the man destroying the star.

More from BuzzFeed:

Deadline spoke to a man who identified himself as the alleged suspect. He said that he had originally intended to remove Trump’s star to auction off and raise funds for the women who have publicly accused Trump of sexual misconduct. However, he only managed to crush it.

Obviously, the man failed and was unable to remove Trump's star. It was, however, badly mangled and unrecognizable following the destruction. At least $2,500 worth of damage was done to the star, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Some of the previous vandalism of Trump's star has included the spray painting of "mute" symbols and backward swastikas. Dogs have even used the star as a bathroom.

Trump was awarded the star in 2007 after the success of his reality TV show "The Apprentice" on NBC.
