Lara Trump: 'This has never happened in this capacity to any other president
June 23, 2017
President Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump slammed the Democrats for their rancorous rhetoric against the president, saying that no other president had faced such criticism. She made the comments on Sean Hannity's show Friday.
"What's very fascinating to me is," Hannity said, "you know, I don't hear Nancy Pelosi saying, 'guys, everybody on my side of the aisle stop,' I don't hear Hillary saying it, I don't hear any real Democratic leaders saying it. Why are their voices so quiet in all of this because I gotta believe that if it was them, they would be very outspoken and probably attacking every conservative and demanding that they denounce it."
"Well let's be very clear," she said, "this has never happened in this capacity to any other president."

"It is happening to Donald Trump because he is Donald Trump," she explained, "because their candidate failed because they have nothing else to say. They have no platform, they have no real leader, they have no real message."
"And so the only thing they can do, is pile on the president," she continued. "And unfortunately it's to the detriment of this country, and instead of trying to be proactive and help pass legislation that might be beneficial to people of this country, instead it's just all anti-Trump."
"I actually think the real reason behind this is he is a threat, to the establishment, to the deep state, to the swamp. And there are so many real swamp creatures, Democrat and Republican, Lara, I mean they're all over the map."
Democrat leaders did come out after the terrible shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.) and others in Alexandria, Virginia, but they appear to have resumed using inflammatory rhetoric against Republicans.
Thursday Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) said that Republicans were accepting "blood money" to let Americans die over their health care bill. Friday former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton named the Republicans the "death party," implying that they were aiming to kill Americans with their health care bill.
