The spokesperson for first lady Melania Trump fired back at Yvette Nicole Brown for an underhanded jab at the expense of President Donald Trump and his marriage on "The View."
"Media like to speculate about our marriage"
The View panel was discussing the first lady's interview with ABC News correspondent Tom Llamas. After airing video of the first lady saying that she was not focused on the president's infidelities, Brown made a suggestion about how she came to marry Trump.
"It is not a concern and focus of mine," Melania Trump responded in the clip. "I am a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do."
"I know people like to speculate and media like to speculate about our marriage," she explained.
“Is it possible that she’s not concerned with his mistresses because she was one of them?” Brown responded on "The View."
They quickly moved on to another topic.
Later Friday, the first lady's spokesperson Stephanie Grisham fired back the show and Brown.
"Day 2 of attacks from [The View]," said Grisham.
"[Yvette Nicole Brown] check your facts before you accuse someone of being a mistress," she continued. "She’s your [first lady] - she deserves your respect & certainly not your lies."
"Disgusting," she concluded.
