After converting to Islam, Sinead O’Connor blasts whites: ‘What I’m about to say is ... so racist’

Musician Sinead O'Connor — who recently converted to the Islamic religion and changed her name to Shuhada Davitt — issued a blistering statement against white people and those people who do not identify as a Muslim.

What did she say?

In a series of Tuesday tweets, O'Connor, 51, said that she doesn't want anything to do with people who don't share her personal religious beliefs.

"I'm terribly sorry," she wrote. "What I'm about to say is something so racist I never thought my soul could ever feel it. But truly I never wanna spend time with white people again (if that's what non-muslims are called). Not for one moment, for any reason. They are disgusting."

She went on to discuss violence in religion, including Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.

"BTW if one IS an intelligent theologian and has taken the journey, one would know there is no more talk of ancient violence in the Q'ran as the Tanukh, the Bible or The sodding Mahabarata. And its [sic] ALL EQUALLY IRELLEVANT [sic] TO OUR TIMES," she wrote.

O'Connor wasn't done there — she went on to attack President Donald Trump and Americans.

"Everyone says the Poor Americans are the victim of Trump. But you hired him. So fire him. Otherwise you're complicit," she wrote. "It is the same with all so called Islamic Terrorism. Which is exactly what the devil wants and loves."

The performer concluded her rant by explaining that she simply cares, full stop.

"Final word. If its [sic] 'Crazy' to care. Then by all means, spank my ass and call me Fruity loops," she wrote.

What else?

In October, O'Connor revealed via Twitter that she'd converted to the Islamic faith, and explained that her decision "is the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian's journey."

“All scripture leads to Islam. Which makes all other scriptures redundant,” she explained.

In 2017, O'Connor told Dr. Phil that she decided to change her name to Magda Davitt in order to be “free of parental curses.”

“Sinead O’Connor is gone. That person is gone,” she said, according to the Brooklyn Vegan.

O'Connor has been open about her struggles with depression and suicide attempts.
