Florida man allegedly told roommate, 'I’m going to go over there and kill them all' before murdering his daughter and 3 others

Florida police say that a 36-year-old man shot and killed four people, including his estranged daughter, after telling his roommate, "I guess I'm going to go over there and kill them all."

The harrowing incident began when a 9-year-old boy at a home in Canaveral Groves used FaceTime to call a relative and tell them what was happening in the home.

Police say that surveillance video caught the sound of several gunshots and a woman screaming at about 1 a.m.

That relative drove quickly to the house while keeping the child on the call, and they discovered four people shot to death.

The victims were 15-year-old Kiarra Terwilliger, her mother, 35-year-old Constance Marie Terwilliger, her 63-year-old grandmother Glenda Terwilliger, and 63-year-old Michael Andrew Watson.

Two boys were found unharmed in the home, aged 6 and 9 years old. One of the boys was the child who called a relative about the shooting.

Sheriff Wayne Ivey said investigators identified 36-year-old Domenico C. Gigante as a suspect after a relative told police that he had been trying to reconnect with his daughter but that she had refused to do so.

"I'm going to tell you that this is an extremely violent individual with an extremely violent past, dating back as far as 2005, who should never have been on our streets where he could take the lives of this entire family," Ivey said in a livestream statement Wednesday.

Court records say that Gigante also told his roommate that he was growing frustrated that his daughter refused to have a relationship with him and said on Tuesday, “I guess I’m going to go over there and kill them all."

The affidavit said the roommate gave deputies video from their home surveillance system that showed Gigante driving off an hour later in a truck. That vehicle matched the description of a truck that was captured driving onto the driveway of the home before the shooting.

Gigante was booked Wednesday into the Brevard County Jail Complex. He faces four counts of first-degree murder.

The suspect's past convictions include animal cruelty and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

"He actually killed a dog by slamming his head on a table and breaking his neck," Ivey said.
