Elon Musk hammers wokeness, CNN, Elizabeth Warren in wide-ranging interview with the Babylon Bee: Woke 'mind virus' could be 'one of the biggest threats to modern civilization'

Elon Musk hit out at wokeness and its impact on comedy, CNN, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and more during an exclusive interview with the Babylon Bee.

What are the details?

The Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder told the outlet's CEO Seth Dillon, editor-in-chief Kyle Mann, and creative director Ethan Nicolle that wokeness is killing comedy.

"Wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal, which is not cool."

He continued, "I mean, Chappelle, like, what the f***? Trying to shut down Chappelle? Come on, man. That’s crazy. Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate, basically? ... At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue,” he said during the panel discussion.

Musk added that wokeness is nothing more than a "mind virus" and said that it could "arguably [be] one of the biggest threats to modern civilization."

Later, Musk acknowledged his Twitter spat with Warren, who called Musk a "freeloader" over paying taxes.

Musk reiterated previous statements that he would likely pay the single largest tax bill in American history this filing year: On Monday, he announced that he would be paying more than $11 billion in taxes this year.

“She struck first. Yes, she did actually call me a freeloader and a grifter who doesn’t pay taxes. I’m literally paying the most tax that any individual in history has ever paid this year, ever, and she doesn’t pay taxes, basically. And her taxes and salary is paid for by the taxpayer, like me. If you could die by irony, she would be dead,” Musk said.

During another portion of the 90-minute interview, Musk took a dig at CNN after one of its producers was accused earlier this month of committing lurid sexual crimes against children.

One of the hosts joked that Musk "could have been on CNN right now," a "real news organization" when compared to the Babylon Bee — a comment to which Musk replied, "I'm not perverted enough, I guess."
