Senators and others rally behind Glenn Beck after Apple Podcasts removes his show

UPDATE posted at 6:38 PM EST:

"The Glenn Beck Program" has reappeared on Apple Podcasts and now seems to be available again on the platform.

Original story below:

Senators and others swiftly rallied to support BlazeTV host Glenn Beck and condemn Apple after Beck announced that his show had been removed from Apple Podcasts.

"We found an issue with your show, The Glenn Beck Program, which must be resolved before it's available on Apple Podcasts," a notice stated. "Your show has been removed from Apple Podcasts."

After Beck announced the news, TheBlaze later shared a message from the Apple Podcasts team declaring, "Congratulations! Your show, The Glenn Beck Program, is available on Apple Podcasts." But Beck's show still does not appear to be available on the platform.

"We have millions of listeners on Apple. It has always been fair to us. I cannot imagine what we might have done to deserve this as we do our best to hit their standards. This will mean the loss of a major fan base and revenue. We have abided by their rules," Beck told TheBlaze.

While he noted that he is "praying that it is all just a mistake," he also noted that he is afraid it may be "more sinister as we were not given any notice, strike, or even a note explaining what we might have done."

In a post on X, Beck noted, "After over 5 hours of my entire catalogue of podcasts episodes (over 3,000) being removed from Apple, and despite receiving a confirmation email congratulating me that my podcast is 'Now Available,' The Glenn Beck Program is STILL not available on Apple Podcast. Still no explanation for why it was removed. Help us keep the pressure on them until we get answers."

Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah was among those who used their public platforms to support Beck and oppose Apple's move.

"It looks like I may have to go elsewhere to listen to podcasts. If @Apple is going to remove @glennbeck’s program from its podcast offerings, a whole lot of us are going to say 'we found an issue with @Apple,'" Lee noted.

GOP Sen. J. D. Vance of Ohio also sounded off about the Big Tech giant.

"Need some answers from Appple ASAP. This looks an awful lot like a major American corporation engaging in election interference," Vance wrote.

Donald Trump Jr. also highlighted the issue, declaring, "Big Tech censorship is the biggest threat to free speech and free expression in America. Apple is now engaging in open election interference by censoring @glennbeck for telling the truth about Joe Biden's corruption!!"

Jeremy Boreing of the Daily Wire praised Beck and said that the move by Apple must have been a mistake.

"This must be a mistake. Glenn is one of the best men in the business and perhaps the greatest living broadcaster. Make this right," Boreing posted.

Ed Krassenstein, who noted that he disagrees with Beck much of the time, also commented on the matter.

"Conservative commentator Glenn Beck has reportedly been banned from Apple/iTunes without any explanation," Krassenstein wrote. "First I must say, I completely disagree with so much of what Glenn Beck has to say, and I think a lot of his politics are absurd. With that said, if Beck has actually been banned merely for voicing his free speech, I think it’s wrong of Apple to do. It will be interesting to see what reason Apple gives for this banning, or if it was done by mistake. I am unaware of any recent major controversy, or hateful over-the-top message that Beck has spread over the airwaves."
