Charles Cooke joins Buck Sexton to converse about the upcoming Electoral College vote and the media outlets spreading the possibility that Trump could still lose the election. Buck describes the faithless elector dust-up as "a big nothing burger. Trump's going to be president." Charles replies, "Right, and he should be because he won the election."
Buck describes the mindset of those who tried to undermine the Electoral College results and imagines them thinking, "Well, theoretically they could take it away from him, so maybe we should all just write articles about that." He indicates The New York Times, The Washington Post and places that have some semblance of a fair and balanced reputation published irresponsible and speculative articles like this.
"The man is going to be president; that's not up for debate. As such the only moral course, I think, is to judge him on the merits," Charles says. "It's to do what I've done with President Obama, to say 'well done' when he does something good, to say 'that's terrible' when he does something bad and to presume at all times that as a man he's going to be fallible."
